It’s the most wonderful time of the year in Austin! Experience Christmas cheer during the many events and holiday lights shows taking place across the city this month. Whisper Valley in East Austin has rounded up a list of holiday happenings near our community, as well as not-to-miss Austin holiday events!

Blue Genie Art Bazaar

Just 15 minutes away from Whisper Valley, The Blue Genie Art Bazaar is a fixture of the Austin holiday season. Shoppers can browse thousands of original works ranging from serious art to fun and kitschy items. It’s a great way to buy hassle-free holiday gifts and support local artists.

Ballet Austin’s The Nutcracker

51st Annual Trail of Lights

The Austin Trail of Lights welcomes 400,000 people every year to celebrate the holidays in the heart of Austin at Zilker Park. The event showcases everything that we love about Austin—from music and food to creativity and family fun. You’ll be dazzled by the beautiful holiday lights display!

Brown Santa 5K

Starting at the Travis County Expo Center just minutes from Whisper Valley, you can walk, jog or run the Brown Santa 5K and help bring Christmas to families in need! All proceeds benefit the Travis County Sheriff’s Brown Santa Program, which provides assistance to underprivileged children and their families in Travis County and senior residents of local retirement centers in Travis County. Registration is $40 for adults and $20 for children 12 and under.

Manor Christmas in the Park

There will be something for everyone at Christmas in the Park at Jennie Lane Park in Old Town Manor! The event features live music, arts & crafts and food vendors from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
