Back to School with Del Valle ISD
Welcome back, Del Valle ISD! Students in the Whisper Valley community have returned to the books for the 2024-2025 school year. This year promises to be exciting, with DVISD opening a new Early College High School & P-TECH Center, which received a significant investment from Tesla. This new campus will facilitate a combined high school and college experience and includes a Gigafactory Texas P-TECH Manufacturing Studio.
The district has been celebrated for academic growth and school progress, earning a ‘B’ accountability rating from the Texas Education Agency in 2022. Joseph Gilbert Elementary: A Foundation for Success

Exciting developments are on the horizon for the Whisper Valley community. Construction is underway for a new Del Valle ISD high school in Whisper Valley, anticipated to open in fall 2026. This state-of-the-art facility will offer advanced educational opportunities and serve as a hub for innovation and learning. Additionally, plans are in place for future elementary and middle schools within Whisper Valley, ensuring that students have access to top-quality education close to home.
