Why You’ll Want to Move to Whisper Valley in 2022
It’s been an amazing year in Whisper Valley! In addition to being named Austin’s Master-Planned Community of the Year at the 2021 MAX Awards, Whisper Valley was also honored with Project of the Year at the Austin Green Awards.
2022 is shaping up to be an even bigger year for our eco-conscious community. Read on to learn more about what’s happening in and around Whisper Valley in the New Year:
New Lots in New Phases
The Austin housing market was red hot in 2021 and demand for new home inventory remains at an all-time high. Whisper Valley is pleased to announce new lots will be available in new phases next year.
40-foot, 35-foot and 50-foot lots in Phase 3 and Phase 4 of Whisper Valley are anticipated to be released by summer of 2022. New builder CastleRock Communities will join Pacesetter Homes, GFO Home, AHA Dream Homes, Thurman Homes and Terrata Homes in building in the new phases.
In addition to new lots, Phase 3 and 4 will feature new trails connecting to the existing community trail system.
New Builder and Models
CastleRock Communities is joining the Whisper Valley homebuilder lineup in 2022 and is anticipated to begin construction on a new model home at the beginning of the year.
Priced from the $300s, CastleRock offers 15 floorplans ranging from 1,157-2,817 sq. ft., featuring single-story and two-story designs with 3-4 bedrooms, 2-3.5 bathrooms, and 2-2.5-car garages.
Pacesetter Homes’ new models recently opened in the model home row along Petrichor Boulevard in Whisper Highlands, Phase 2 of our community. We are also excited to announce Thurman Homes also started construction on a new model home expected to open in the spring.
New Area Growth
The FM 973 corridor where Whisper Valley is located is one of the most rapidly growing areas of Austin. When you live in our master-planned community, you are moments away from all the action and just 25 minutes from Downtown!
Less than 10 minutes away from Whisper Valley, Tesla’s Texas Gigafactory is anticipated to open and begin production on vehicles in 2022. The facility will produce the Model 3, Model Y and the company’s highly-anticipated Cybertruck, an electric pickup. Tesla will also build its Semi tractor at Giga Texas.
Even more exciting, plans for the Gigafactory include a boardwalk with hiking and biking trails and an “ecological paradise” open to the public.
Aerospace company SpaceX is also building a new factory adjacent to Tesla. The factory is expected to manufacture dishes, Wi-Fi routers and mounting hardware for its internet satellite project Starlink, a high-speed, low-latency satellite internet service.
Austonia notes that Starlink is “essential to SpaceX’s valuation that will fund travel to Mars, and a manufacturing facility would only stand bolster Austin’s tech cred.”
A little further north in Taylor, Texas, Samsung will begin construction on their new plant next year. About 30 minutes away from Whisper valley, the new chip-manufacturing plant is anticipated to create more than 2,000 high-tech jobs directly and thousands of related jobs once the facility is in full operation.
